1. Data Philosophy
At Career Gauge, we believe your professional data is your intellectual property. Our architecture is designed to prioritize data isolation over data collection. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your resume content to train global AI models.
The AI Isolation Protocol
Standard AI tools often "absorb" user data to improve their general models. Career Gauge operates differently:
- Zero Training: Your resume text and Decision Briefs are never contributed to public or private LLM training sets.
- Isolated Inference: Each analysis is processed independently. We store submitted content and generated artifacts only to operate the service, deliver your report, and—if you create an account—save your work; that content is not used to train general models.
- API Privacy: We use Enterprise-tier API agreements with our model providers (OpenAI, Google) which legally prohibit the use of our data for model training.
2. Information We Collect
Content Data
Resume text, Job Descriptions, and "Decision Brief" artifacts. This is the core data required for our agents to function.
Identity Data
Name, email address, and billing information (processed securely via Stripe). We keep this separate from your "Content Data" whenever possible.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used strictly for the following purposes:
- Inference: Triggering the LangGraph multi-agent workflows you initiate.
- Persistence: Storing your "Master Resume" so you can analyze multiple jobs without re-uploading.
- Billing: Managing your Capacity Unit (CU) balance and subscription status.
- System Integrity: Detecting and preventing abuse of our AI infrastructure.
4. Third-Party Sub-Processors
To provide high-fidelity analysis, we transmit anonymized content to the following infrastructure providers:

5. Data Retention & Deletion

For unauthenticated visitors, uploaded content and generated briefs are purged from our systems after 24 hours.
- Auth:
Registered users retain their data as long as their account is active. You may trigger a "Hard Delete" of all resumes and artifacts via your Account Settings at any time.
6. Your Rights
Whether you are under GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), or other regional privacy laws, we provide the same high standard of rights to all users: the right to access your data, the right to rectify errors, and the "right to be forgotten."
